A Circular Choice
A nappy is only worn for a short time, but the cotton it is made from doesn't have to be finished with it. On this page, "circular" means one plain thing: nappies made to be washed and used again, and kept in use for as long as they can be.
This page is about our knitted cotton nappies and wipes. It draws on 11 years of running a commercial nappy laundry service for Melbourne families and childcare centres.
Learnt from 11 years of nappies in daily use
From 2014 we collected, washed and returned cloth nappies for more than 3,000 families, as well as Melbourne childcare centres. Nappies went round and round, wash after wash, and we saw what lasted. We designed our own nappy around that.
Knitted to be used again
Our cotton inserts are 100% cotton, with no polyester or other fibre blended into the knit. A ribbed structure forms small channels that draw moisture in and hold it, so the knit itself does the work.
The insert and the cover are separate pieces. Each can be washed to suit its own fabric, and either one can be replaced without replacing the other. Our reusable cotton wipes can be washed with your nappies and used again.
We make our nappies to be used with one child and then the next.
Grown and made close to home
Our nappies are made from traceable Australian cotton grown in Queensland. The fabric is knitted, and the nappies are sewn and finished, in Victoria by our own team. This applies to our knitted cotton nappies and wipes, not to our covers (polyester, made overseas) or every item we sell.
